In plain language
The body is one piece of glass with a divider cast into it, so there is no insert to lose and no seam for food to sit in. The lid is glass too, held in a grey silicone frame with two clips and a vent button for the microwave.
We ordered borosilicate 3.3 to DIN ISO 3585, not "high borosilicate" — one is a standard, the other is a word. The declaration of conformity for food contact is requested from the factory and is published here before the first box ships.
It weighs what glass weighs. If you want something light for a rucksack, this is not it, and we would rather say so than sell you one you will not carry.
